Overview

IVL has been operational in India since 1970 and has partnered with government entities, municipalities, research institutes, universities and industries. IVL India- a fully owned subsidiary of the IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute was established in 2019 with its head office in Mumbai. 
Our areas of operation include water, ​wastewater, waste, air, energy etc. The business service of IVL-India covers Indo-​Swedish environmental technology transfer, capacity and platform building, research ​projects, applied environmental research and project management consultancy services. Our clientele ranges from government entities, municipal corporations and industries.

In ​2019, Ms. Rupali Deshmukh established IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute’s Indian subsidiary- IVL India R&D Private Ltd, ​in Mumbai. Currently, she is serving two roles-  Country Manager for India at IVL ​Swedish Environmental Institute ltd in Stockholm, Sweden and the CEO and Director at IVL India Environmental research institute in Mumbai, ​India. Her dual roles allow her to bridge environmental initiatives between India and Sweden, driving forward IVL’s mission of sustainable and ​cleaner production.
Her career has been dedicated to blending applied research and development with close industry-public ​collaboration.She has worked with diverse clientele including both public and private ​sectors; from municipalities to government authorities, to trade organizations to renowned global corporations, her work has spanned across ​Sweden and various international landscapes. 
Under Ms. Rupali’s leadership IVL India, remains committed to advancing environmental ​solutions that make a meaningful impact; paving the way for a sustainable future.
